Automated rights requests depend on the creator’s platform settings and on the connection being live. If a creator says they never received your request, work through these.
Recover an undelivered request
- Check the source connection. Confirm the social source the request sends through is still authorised and active.
- Check the creator can receive it. Some creators restrict messages from accounts they don’t follow, which can block an automated DM.
- Use the audit trail. Open the post’s rights history to see whether the request was sent and what state it’s in.
- Fall back to manual. Contact the creator directly, then mark the post approved manually once they say yes, or use a registration link for campaigns.
