If revenue isn’t being credited to UGC, or events aren’t turning up in GA4 or Meta, the chain from widget to purchase has a break in it. Check each link.
Close attribution gaps
- Confirm the store integration. Purchase attribution depends on order events. Make sure your platform integration is connected and, for custom stores, that the order webhook is firing.
- Check products are tagged. Without tagged products there are no add-to-cart events to attribute, so make sure posts are shoppable.
- Verify in GA4 in real time. Trigger a widget click on staging and watch GA4 Realtime; the event should appear within a few seconds with the right collection and post parameters.
- Check the attribution model. Make sure you’re comparing on a consistent model (last-click, first-click or linear), since switching models changes the numbers.
