A gallery is a widget built on a collection: you add content, choose a layout, and embed it. This guide covers creating one and picking the right layout from the template picker, which shows a live preview of each option.
Create a gallery
- Start a new gallery. From the gallery area of the dashboard, create a new gallery and give it a clear name tied to where it will live, such as Homepage hero or PDP gallery.
- Add content. Add a feed (import from a social account) or upload your own media, then curate it down to the posts you want to show.
- Open the layout picker. Open the layout (template) picker. It shows each layout as a card with a live preview so you can see how the content will look before committing.
- Choose a layout. Pick the layout that fits the page. The library includes Grid, Carousel, Masonry, Feed, Story, Showcase, Lookbook, Spotlight, Tilted Grid, Polaroid and more. Search by name if you know what you want.
- Adjust the basics. Set the gallery name, columns and spacing so it sits comfortably in your section. You can fine-tune appearance afterwards.
Picking the right layout
Match the layout to the page. A Grid is the workhorse for product pages where social proof drives add-to-cart. A Carousel suits homepage heroes and tight vertical space. Story is mobile-first and tap-through. Lookbook is editorial with product hotspots per page. See Widget layout types and when to use each for a fuller breakdown.
Common issues
If a layout looks empty in preview, confirm the gallery has content and that posts are visible (not all hidden). If a layout feels wrong for the page, switch it: the same content works across layouts, so you can try a few before embedding.
