Idukki Connect · Private beta

Your customer photos travel with the product, wherever it’s sold.

Idukki Connect is a UGC syndication endpoint. Brand-owned customer photos and verified reviews sit on idukki.io, exposed through a read-only API and a drop-in retailer widget. The brand keeps the rights audit; the retailer gets a one-line embed; the same verified-buyer content renders on every PDP that sells the product.

Weight AI agents give verified reviews vs studio content

Studio content stops travelling in 2027.

The retailer-PDP syndication layer has worked for two decades on the back of polished, brand-shot assets. AI shopping agents are starting to weight that payload differently, and the brands that move first get to define the next pipe.

The 14× number. Consolidated industry analysis suggests AI shopping agents weight verified-buyer reviews roughly 14× heavier than unverified or studio-authored content when ranking products. Flagged as a composite drawn from Bazaarvoice, Stackla / Nosto, Olapic and Trustpilot benchmarks, not a single measured study.

The Flixmedia-shaped stack today

Brand ships polished studio assets to retailer PDPs.

Hero shots, 360 spinners, comparison tables, lifestyle video. Authored by the brand’s creative team, distributed through a syndication layer, embedded on the retailer page. A genuinely useful pipe; nothing about this stops working.

  • Brand-authored creative, brand-controlled
  • Distribution shape proven for 15+ years
  • Optimised for human shoppers reading a PDP

What the AI shopping layer prefers

Verified customer content, with provenance.

ChatGPT Shopping, Perplexity, Google AI Overview and Amazon Rufus increasingly cite verified-buyer photos and reviews over studio content when ranking what to recommend. The payload that wins on the agent layer is the one with the heaviest verification chain.

  • Verified-buyer photos and reviews, rights-cleared
  • Creator-signed assets with audit trail
  • Same syndication shape, agent-friendly payload

Three moving parts. The brand keeps the keys.

Connect is read-only on the retailer side and rights-aware on the brand side. The syndication channel ships, the audit chain comes with it.

  1. 01

    Brand collects on Idukki

A brand runs its UGC programme on its own Idukki workspace: photo + video collection, rights requests, moderation, AI tagging, the same shape Idukki has always shipped. Nothing changes about ownership or audit.

    Brand-owned

  2. 02

    Connect exposes a scoped feed

Idukki Connect publishes a read-only API per brand, scoped to a SKU list and a retailer allowlist. Every payload carries the rights record, the moderation state, and a verifiable creator signature.

    Read-only API

  3. 03

    Retailer drops one embed line

The retailer pastes a single embed onto its brand-PDPs. The same verified-buyer photos and reviews render under the retailer chrome. If the brand revokes an asset upstream, it disappears downstream within minutes.

    One line

The widget renders the same UGC on the brand site and on the retailer site.

Flip between the two surrounding chromes. Same verified-buyer photos, same review payload, same asset IDs. Different host, different theme.

Bought these for a half-marathon and didn't have to think about them once. The high waist actually stays put.

Same pair I bought on the brand's own site last year, identical fit, identical fabric, just easier to find here.

One script tag. Every retailer PDP.

Connect renders inside the retailer’s existing template. Native paths for the six platforms that cover most of the western retail PDP estate, plus a custom track for anything that accepts HTML.

Data residency

AWS eu-west-2 (London). EU-only ingress on request.

Auth

Per-retailer embed tokens. OAuth on the API side, rotatable from the workspace.

  • Whitelist retailers

Pick the exact list of retailer domains and SKU sets that can pull from your feed. Add or remove from a single screen in your workspace.

  • Per-asset opt-out

Flag a single photo or review as off-limits for syndication while keeping it live on your own PDP. Retailers stop serving it within the next pull cycle.

  • Audit log of every retrieval

Every API call (which retailer, which SKU, which assets, when) lands in your audit log. Export to CSV or stream to your SIEM.

  • Embed-token rotation

Per-retailer embed tokens with one-click rotation. Revoke compromised tokens without touching live retailer pages, replacements pick up automatically.

Free for design-partner brands and retailers through the Q3 2026 launch.

GA pricing is still being designed. The most likely shape is a retailer subscription plus a per-brand connection fee, with the brand side staying free. We will publish the GA model before any beta partner is asked to pay, and design partners get a 24-month price lock at the moment pricing turns on.

Design-partner programme

We’re picking 3 brands and 3 retailers for the Q3 2026 launch cohort.

Apply on either side. We pair brands and retailers manually for the first cohort so the connections land on PDPs that actually convert. Three slots left on each side as of the date this page was last updated.

  • Early API access (Connect alpha + the GA endpoint)
  • Zero fees through the Q3 2026 launch window
  • Joint case study, co-authored, shipped on both sides
  • Direct roadmap input via a private Slack with the Connect team

Questions we expect, answered honestly.

  • How is this different from Flixmedia?
Flixmedia syndicates brand-owned studio content (product videos, hero shots, comparison tables) to retailer PDPs. That model works while shoppers and AI agents trust polished marketing assets. Idukki Connect syndicates brand-owned customer content (verified photos, verified reviews) with the rights audit trail intact. Same distribution shape, different payload. The two stacks coexist on the same PDP without competing.
  • How is this different from Bazaarvoice review syndication?
Bazaarvoice pioneered review syndication for text reviews, and that part of the model has worked for over a decade. Idukki Connect applies the same syndication shape to photo and video UGC, where the rights-clearance and creator-attribution chain is heavier and where most existing pipes lose the audit trail in transit. Reviews ride along in the same payload, so a retailer gets photos plus verified-buyer reviews from one feed.
  • What happens to a piece of UGC after I publish it on a retailer PDP?
The asset stays on Idukki. The retailer page renders it through the Connect embed, which pulls a fresh signed URL on every load. The retailer never gets a copy of the file. If you revoke the asset, blacklist the retailer, or rotate the embed token, the asset stops rendering on the retailer page within the next pull cycle (typically under five minutes).
  • Do retailers pay?
Not in the beta. Q3 2026 launch retailers ship Connect free of charge. GA pricing is still being designed: the most likely shape is a retailer subscription plus a per-brand connection fee, with the brand side staying free. We will publish the GA pricing before any beta partner is asked to pay.
  • What if a brand wants to revoke rights mid-syndication?
The brand toggles the asset off in its workspace. Every Connect feed that includes that asset stops returning it on the next pull. The retailer embed silently drops the tile from the rendered grid. The audit log captures the revocation event, with timestamp and reason, so the brand can prove the asset was pulled across every downstream surface.
  • Why now and not in 2024?
Two things changed. AI shopping agents (ChatGPT Shopping, Perplexity, Google AI Overview, Amazon Rufus) started weighting verified customer content far above studio content when picking what to recommend, which gives brands a reason to push the verified payload to retailer PDPs rather than the polished one. And the rights-clearance side of UGC is now mature enough to ship as a cleared payload, not just a marketing asset. The Flixmedia-shaped distribution layer was waiting on both shifts.

Pick the cohort that defines how UGC syndication works.

Three brands. Three retailers. One launch window. If you want your UGC (or the UGC on the PDPs you sell) to be the payload AI agents quote, this is the beta to be in.
