How to Embed Google Reviews on Shopify (Step-by-Step)
Connecting your Google Business Profile, placing a schema-ready review widget, and getting your star rating into Google's own search results for your store.
Google Reviews on a Shopify PDP does two jobs at once: it reassures the shopper who's already on the page, and, done correctly with schema markup, it can put your star rating directly into Google's search results before they even click through.

Step 1: Connect your Google Business Profile
Authorise your Google Business Profile from the dashboard; reviews sync from there without needing a separate Google Cloud project or API key of your own.
Step 2: Install via app block
Add the review widget as an app block through the Theme Editor on Online Store 2.0 themes. PDPs benefit most (reviews sitting next to the buy button), but a homepage placement or a dedicated reviews page both work depending on how much real estate you want to give it.
Step 3: Confirm the schema is live
The reason to embed reviews at all rather than just link to your Google Business Profile is the structured data: a correctly configured widget emits Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD, which is what lets Google show your star rating directly in search results for your own site. Check this with Google's Rich Results Test after install, don't assume it's there by default.
Step 4: Add other review sources
If you also collect Trustpilot, Feefo or TripAdvisor reviews, connecting them to the same widget rather than running separate ones means one consistent rating and one schema block, instead of three competing ones. See the general Google Reviews embed guide for more on the schema mechanics.
